UMANG’s mission is inspired by the Jaycees Creed’s
saying: “Service to Humanity is the best
work of life. Believe in yourself. You can make a difference”
UMANG’s mission is to serve the
humanity and ensure the socio-economic development of India
by fulfilling the basic needs of underprivileged people
in India.
Objectives:
- Education: A nation’s socio-economic development is directly
linked to the development of its children. In India, 400
million people out of over 1 billion do not have the basic
education and majority of these people is children. The
main reasons for such a high illiteracy are lack of awareness
about education, education system and basic health care
support. Moreover most of the families in rural areas
have limited capability to fund their child’s education.
UMANG’s objective is to ensure socio-economic
development of children of India who are devoid of their
basic rights by providing them basic education and health
care
In India, UMANG is committed to fulfill this objective
by focusing on the following activities:
i. Raise awareness of the importance of education and
provide basic education in rural parts of India
ii. Meet health care needs of underprivileged children
in India
iii. Help families and communities find work and generate
income to enable them to fund their child’s education

- In India, more than 250 million people
live below the poverty line. Out of 250 million, 100 million
are destitute elderly people who get repudiated by their
families. These destitute elderly people are homeless
and have no means to earn their living.
UMANG’s objective
is to serve the humanity by fulfilling the basic needs
(Food, Shelter, Health, Income generation etc) of underprivileged
destitute elderly people in India
UMANG is committed to fulfill this
objective through the following initiatives:
i. Provide food to destitute elderly
people who are not capable of earning their living
ii. Provide shelter to destitute elderly people in India
iii. Provide income generation means (training, work
opportunities, etc) to make them self dependent
iv. Provide basic health care support to destitute elderly
people in India

“Parul – a 65 years old blind woman has
no one to take care of her.
She is homeless and has no means to earn her living. UMANG
adopted
her in its food camp “Kshetra” and has been
providing one meal a day to
her for last 3 years”
