Our Current Projects - Kshetra – Food Camp:

In 2002, Mr. Narottam Dass Agarwal came across a group of destitute elderly people in Goverdhan, Mathura who had been repudiated from their families. He decided to set up a food camp with the mission to provide destitute elderly people in that region with a meal a day for the rest of their lives. The camp started with serving 15 people in that area. With the help of friends and family members, the camp has grown to 50 people now.

The expense of the food camp is $100 a month.

Testimonials

Reena- "Kshetra"- food camp caretaker talks about her involvement with UMANG's food camp;

"I came in contact with Mr. Narottam Dass Agarwal's family in 2002. His family wanted to start a food camp to provide to destitute elderly people in Mathura district. I got involved with it as I like taking care of the needy and serving the humanity. I have been running the food camp for 3 years. Everyday I make food for 35 people and serve them with my own hands. Taking care of these needy people(blind, destitute etc) has been a satisfying experience for me."
